The sister of a Donegal player has been forced to go to extreme lengths in order to get time off work to see her brother in action at Croke Park!

Helen McElhinney, sister of midfielder Martin was forced to wear a Tyrone jersey ALL DAY at work in order to get today off to see Donegal hopefully upset the odds against Dublin.

Helen, who works for the Healthwise Pharmacy Group in Buncrana was forced to go undergo the forfeit to ensure she took her seat at Croke Park today.

Healthwise Pharmacy Group posted the following on their Facebook timeline, “Best of luck to Donegal in the All Ireland quarter final today against Dublin. BELIEVE!!

“We also wish our good neighbours Tyrone all the best in the other quarter final. O

“Our dispenser Helen, sister of Donegal midfielder Martin McElhinney, from Tierney’s had to wear a Tyrone jersey all day at work yesterday to get the day off today. Enjoy the game Helen 🙂

Helen has certainly shown her dedication to the cause by wearing ‘that’ jersey in order to get the day off.

Hopefully it will all have been worth it later this evening, as Rory Gallagher takes his side into the Croke Park fortress to take on the reigning All-Ireland Champions!

Let’s hope Donegal can overcome the odds again to record a famous win, and Helen never has to wear that jersey again!
