Three people have been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital this afternoon following a crash at Cloughwally (pronounce Clock Willy) near Lettermacaward.

A motorbike and a van have collided on the main N56 road.

The main N56 road at Cloughwally is closed and motorists are asked to divert via Doochary village on the R252 on then to Ballinacarrick and back to Lettermacaward.

A Garda spokesman said he expects the road will remain closed for several hours.
