Patrick McMenamin is a singer/songwriter from Ballybofey, and has recently uploaded this stunning cover of ‘Dancing On My Own’ by Robyn. Although it was uploaded less than a day ago, he’s already racked up almost 6,000 views and 500 likes.
Patrick has been pursuing a career in music for the past five years. After studying for a degree in Music at BIMM Dublin, he has now turned his attention to doing gigs throughout Donegal.
Patrick told Donegal Daily “I wasn’t expecting the response I got from the video but I guess I’ll be doing a lot more of them now in the future!”
He explained that he has many musical influences. He comes from a musical family, and his cousins are all heavily involved in the Donegal music scene.
His taste in music includes; Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Ed Sheeran and James Bay.
This video was his first time uploading a song to social media, and although he was a little bit nervous, he can’t wait to record the next one!
