GAA: The Donegal GAA club scene swung back into action this weekend, and with the Donegal SFC set to resume in a fortnight, clubs were targeting positive results across the board.

Glenswilly, currently bottom of Division One, suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of a rampant Kilcar side.

Martin McHugh’s side host St Michael’s in the Donegal SFC in a fortnight’s time, and they continued their fine run of form with an impressive win.

Donegal star Patrick McBrearty helped himself to 2-04, while Eoin McHugh scored three points in a fantastic display by the men from Towney.

St Eunan’s edged past Termon, who were level with their local rivals with just five minutes left to play, but David McGinley’s side reeled off three scores in-a-row to get the two points.

Gaoth Dobhair defeated relegation threatened Ardara by six points in an entertaining clash at Magheragallon this afternoon.

Donegal star Kieran Gillespie got one of Gaoth Dobhair’s goal, while Odhran MacNiallais enjoyed a sensational game landing eight points in total, five of which came from play.

St Michael’s and Bundoran shared the spoils, Eddie Harkin’s side left it late, but a stirring comeback secured a point for the men from The Bridge.

Dungloe’s clash with Naomh Conaill was postponed due to the passing of Bella Sweeney, the mother of current Dungloe players Adrian Sweeney and Raymond Sweeney and former player/manager Myles Sweeney.
