Letterkenny Youth and Family Service (LYFS) are proud to announce a new Community Mapping project in Letterkenny.

Letterkenny Active Mapping Project (LAMP) will highlight and map the resources and services available in Letterkenny.

The project aims to put together a vibrant, dynamic, creative group of young people who are not in employment, education or training, who want to have a positive contribution in their community and are aged between 16-30 yrs. No previous skills or experience necessary.

LYFS
LYFS were awarded the funding after successfully completing a rigorous selection process. Only three groups in Ireland have been selected to deliver this project the others being in Dublin and Limerick, all funded by The Community Foundation for Ireland.

This youth led project will allow the group, to develop, design and distribute a fully usable tool that represents the services and resources available in their community.

If you or anyone you know are interested in this exciting new project, you can contact us via the following methods: on Facebook search for @LetterkennyYouth or email: letterkennyyouth@gmail.com, by phone: 074 9123078 or drop into LYFS at New Line House, New Line Road, Letterkenny.

We will be on the streets conducting surveys in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for us and you could be in with a chance to win prizes for completing our surveys!LAMP
