Little boy pens heart-warming letter to Michael Conlan

Following Michael Conlan’s controversial defeat yesterday, emotions have been running high in Ireland as Michael was blatantly cheated out of an Olympic Medal.

Rumours that Russia paid for Olympic Medals have circulated over social media, with Michael even tweeting Russian president Vladimir Putin saying “hey Vlad, How much did they charge you bro?”

Although there is much disappointment felt today across Ireland for the unfair ruling of the Rio judges, a little boy lifted the mood when he penned a letter to his idol.

“Hi Michael, My name is Finn McManus and I am five years old. I saw your fight in Rio and you should have won because you are the best boxer in the world. I want you to have my school medal because you are a winner. I hope you like it, from Finn”.

Little Finn’s idol tweeted back saying “very warming message from this young lad, if anyone knows who he is, could you please tell him I have a gift for him?”

We’re sure that a medal coming from a dazzled five year old will mean the world to Michael.
