The wait is finally over for 55,000 students across Ireland as the Leaving Certificate results are set to be published today.

Over 2,000 Donegal students sat the examinations this year.

They began handing them out at 9am, and they will be available online from 12pm.

A helpline opened this morning to discuss issues with students and parents. The free-phone helpline is there to have a chat with you if you feel a bit overwhelmed, and to go over all of your options with you. Parents are also welcome to call the helpline with any queries.

The first round of CAO offers will begin on Monday.

You can review your papers for free, and you can ask one of your teachers to go through it with you. After going through the paper, if you believe that you should have scored higher you can send it off to get re-marked for €40.

We wish the best of luck to all getting their results today – we’re sure you all did fantastic!
