Famous Donegal hotel taken over by new management team

A famous Donegal hotel has been taken over by a new management team following a sitting of Letterkenny District Court last week.

The Highlands Hotel, situated in the bustling village of Glenties has been owned by the Boyle family since the 1940’s.

A new management team named Wild Atlantic Hospitality LTD will take over the running of the hugely popular hotel.

However, it will have a familiar feel to it, as Sinead Boyle, a daughter of the previous owners of The Highland Hotel, is a director of Wild Atlantic Way LTD.

She had worked in a management position under the previous management regime.

Both parties appeared in court as part of the licensing legislation and to transfer the deeds and license to the new company.

The application to renew their late night dance license was also granted by Judge Alan Mitchell, who wished them well on their new venture.
