GAA news: Glenswilly face Dungloe in the Championship

Senior and Reserve Championship

The Senior team face v Dungloe this weekend in the Michael Murphy Sports Championship. The game throws in at 3.00pm in Glenswilly and will follow the Reserve team game which throws in at 1.15pm.

This is a must-win game and as much support as possible is hoped for on the day. Get out and support the lads.

Congratulations to Rachel Mullen who represented Donegal in the Under 17 development blitz.

Good luck to the ladies senior team

This Sunday Senior Ladies play in Junior B Championship County Final. They face Fanad Gaels in Milford at 11am. Good luck to all involved.

The ladies have done remarkably well to get to the final and deserve your support.

Well done to the ladies and their management team for getting to the final. Now go bring home the silverware!

Under 13 girls training

Under 13 girls training will begin on Thursday 1st September. It will be at the main pitch from 6-7pm. Under 13’s have their first game at home against Red Hugh’s on Saturday 3rd.

Training for Under 16 girls is on Friday evenings at the training pitch from 6.15-7.30pm. Next game is on Tuesday 30th against Termon.

U13s

The Under 13s team had a good first league win over Red Hughs while the development team were beaten by Moville.

Glendowan 5K

The Glendowan National School fun, run, walk takes place this Sunday.

The event, over a 5k course, is set to bring out hundreds of participants and hopefully the weather will be kind.

The event starts at 11.30am but registration is on the morning at McClafferty’s Bar in Churchill from 9.30am on the morning of the race.

Lotto

The winner of last week’s club lotto was James Pat McDaid who matched 3 numbers. The winning numbers were 9,13, 18 and 23.

Bingo

Bingo continues in the hall every Wednesday at 9pm with more than €2,000 in prize money on offer.
