Championship

Round 2 of the championship will be played on Saturday evening at the Burn Road, with Gaoth Dobhair providing the opposition. We are throwing in at the earlier times of 4pm for the Reserve game and 5.30 for the seniors, as Andrew Duffy’s Anniversary Mass will be said at 7pm in St Columba’s chapel, Termon.

Sympathy
We offer our sympathies to the Mellett family, Kathleen, Teresa, Suzanne and Cathríona on the death of Frank. Frank, born in Kilmaine and raised in Baranacolla Co Mayo emigrated to England where he met and married Kathleen, and they returned to Ireland to raise their family in Leacnacoo.

Frank played for the Termon senior team in the mid 80s under the late Michael Mc Bride . Frank was a frequent attender at Termon games, where he especially took great pride in watching his grandson Caolán line out at underage and more recently at senior level for the club.. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam uasal.

Enda McCormick
Whilst we know that the county minor boys are devastated at losing out to Galway in the All-Ireland minor semi-final on Sunday last, Enda raised smiles, whoops and cheers in Croke Park and at home with his fantastic goal, carried from beyond the 45m line and fired into the back of the net with powerful accuracy. Everyone at the club couldn’t be prouder of his performance on Sunday, and we’re now looking forward to seeing him back at the Burn Road, and have no doubt we will see him in Páirc and Chrócaigh again!

Ladies
After a very impressive display of football, our minor ladies have made it into the Semi Finals by beating Mac Cumhaills at home on Tuesday evening. Their semi-final is due to be played on September 6th away to Aodh Ruadh. Well done girls and thanks to everyone who came out to support them.

U13 girls training this week Friday eve 5:30-6:30pm at pitch. New players especially welcome. Game scheduled this weekend for the B squad at home against Downings, details will be texted out when confirmed.

Minor Board in association with Kelly’s Centra, Mountain Top

The under 13 boys welcome Glenswilly to the Burn Road tonight, Wednesday, at 7pm, and Muff will provide the opposition on Friday night, again at the Burn Road, again throw in at 7.
The under 16 boys play Fanad at 6pm on Sunday evening in Milford in the Northern Board final.
The minor boys play Fanad on Tuesday evening in the Burn Road in the minor championship group stages.
