Ben & Jerry’s are urging customers to check the batch numbers at the bottom of their 500ml tubs of ice-cream after metal shards were found in their Cookie Dough ice-cream – their most popular flavour.

It is believed that all other flavours and products are unaffected.

The four batches which may contain metal splinters are; L62110L011, L62111L011, L62112L011 and L62113L011.

If you have a tub containing any of the above batch numbers the company urge you to throw out the tub of ice-cream and apply for a refund by  contacting their customer careline on 1800 946272

They said; “Everyone at Ben and Jerry’s is very sorry that a limited number of Ben and Jerry’s Cookie Dough 500ml ice cream failed to meet expectations on this occasion”.
