Revealed: Ireland’s top paying jobs in 2016

Figures released by the Central Statistics Office today have revealed the salaries of the highest, and lowest, paid jobs in Ireland.

The largest earners in Ireland are working in Information and Communications, which includes IT professionals,  who make on average  €1,063.39 a week, amounting to a healthy €55,000  salary.

The Financial, insurance and real estate are a close second, with an average weekly wage of €1,014.66, amounting to a cool €52,000 annually.

The lowest earners are those working in accommodation and food services, earning only €331.81 a week, earning just a little over €17,000 a year.

Average weekly earnings are €703.83 in the second half of 2016. Average hourly earnings have increased by 0.2%, going from €21.89 to €21.93.

Average weekly earnings for those in the construction industry rose by 3.8% during the second quarter of 2016.
