It’s not everyday that a former world boxing champ calls into your hotel for a pint.

But heads certainly turned in the Silvery Tassie on the outskirts of Letterkenny yesterday when non other than Joe Calzaghe popped in.

The Welsh warrior was one of the world’s true champs and is still respected across the boxing world.

He is pictured with both Ciaran Blaney and John Brown from the top hotel.

Rumours that Ciaran asked Joe to ‘step outside’ when he questioned whose round it was next could not be confirmed!
