Family’s heartbreaking vigil as search for missing Tony enters its third day

These are the heartbreaking scenes as the family and friends of a missing man await news after his disappearance.

Anthony Griffiths was last seen in the early hours of Tuesday morning close to the Isle of Doagh Famine Village in Clonmany.

The 59 year old from Culmore in Derry had set up camp with his family during planned visit to Donegal.

When last seen he was wearing a grey t-shirt with a blue and red coloured design on the front.

He was wearing beige coloured combat style shorts. He is 5’ 10” in height, of medium build with sandy hair and he wears glasses.

Members of the RNLI, the Gardai and the Rescue 118 helicopter have been conducting the search for Anthony as it enters its third day today.

Gardaí are concerned for Anthony and anyone with information is asked to contact them at Buncrana Garda Station on 074 9320540, the Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
