GAA News: Kilcar come out on top in match against Killybegs

It was a busy weekend for the club concluding with the championship on Sunday our Seniors topped Group two following a 0-24 to 0-07 win against Killybegs in Fintra and now face Termon in the Quarter Finals while our Reserves needed a 30 points plus win and St Eunans to win to make the Quarter Finals and they put in a fine performance winning 7-22 to 1-03 they face Naomh Conaill in the Quarter Finals both sides are home to Bundoran in our final home match of the season this Sunday.
Club Meeting
This month’s Club Meeting has been rescheduled until Thursday 15th September in Áislann Chill Chartha at 9pm.
Underage
Congratulations to all who participated in the Michael Doherty Memorial Tournament on Saturday. The A competition was won by our neighbours Naomh Columba and the B competition was won by Ardara. CLG Chill Chartha would like to thank everyone who helped make a day a success. Our Minors were defeated in the championship Quarter Final on Friday in Towney while our Under 13s lost to Naomh Ultan on Sunday by 5-07 to 4-06 our Under 16 are in Championship action against Four Masters on Sunday no confirmed throw in time yet. Well done to our Under 12s who won the Shield following a hard fought match against Bundoran it was a great display by both teams well done to all.

We now have a selection of Club gear on sale in Áislann Chill Chartha with adult and kid’s club home jerseys, new half zip tops, polo shirts and children’s kit bags and shorts now in stock we now have Bobble Hats also in stock. You can also now buy club merchandise online via our website.

We have now 227 members on our FREE mobile app if you would like to sign up just follow these steps to download your free team App for CLG Chill Chartha.
1. On your phone or iPad go to the app store 2. Search for Team App 3. Install Team App to your phone 4. Search for CLG Chill Chartha 5. Log in and register for the CLG Chill Chartha Club app. 6. You will receive an email notification when you are added you to the system.
Lotto Jackpot Winner
There was no winner of the Club Lotto Jackpot so next week’s Jackpot is €2,100 this week’s numbers were: 10, 12, 13 and 14 winners were: €50 Mary Doherty, Main Street, Kilcar €30 Desmond Haughey, Curris €20 Mary Gallagher, Glenties and Denise McSweeney, Kilcar. Club Bingo
There was no winner of the Jackpot so it’s now €7,950 on 45 numbers; Club Bingo is on in The Parish Hall on Sunday nights at 8:30pm so please support to be in with a chance of winning the Jackpot and thanks to all who continue to support our Bingo! This week’s winners were: €150 Margaret Brady €85 Ann Marie Campbell €70 Breege Boyle, Francis Cunningham, Denise Boyle, Mary Duddy, John Conwell, Maggie O’Donnell and Margaret Cunningham.
Jimmy Beag Cunningham
Condolences to the family and friends of Jimmy Beag Cunningham, Carrick who has passed away Jimmy captained Cill Chartha in the SFC final against McCumhaills in 1963. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anam.
