As many may know, Aidan Callaghan completed his first 1/2 Ironman race earlier this year and then went on to compete in the UK full Ironman a few weeks ago.

With Aidans performance in Bolton, he qualifed for the Ironman World Championships which take place each year in Kona, Hawaii.

It is not every year that a local athlete qualifies for such an event.

With this in mind the 24/7 Triathlon Club in Letterkenny are organising a fund raising duathlon to help with the expenses incurred for this event.

The event takes place tomorrow, Sunday 11th September 2016.

Please note this is a fun event and you do not have to have a triathlon license to take part.
