MOVILLE GAA NEWS: Our senior men played their last away game in the league on Saturday evening with a trip away to Na Rossa.

The lads knew that a win would guarantee division three football for next season and they truly delivered after an excellent game of football high on drama and excitement the lads came away with a one point victory. After falling behind in the opening minutes to two early points to Na Rossa the lads settled and hit back to score the games first goal through Christopher Hegarty after some brilliant build up play.

Further scores were shared and the second goal of the first half was scored through an excellent taken penalty from Nigel McMonagle after Micheal Barr was pulled back in the area. The half time score was 2-04 to 0-07 in favour of Moville. In the ninth minute of the second half the third goal of the game was scored by Danny Murphy again after some brilliant team work in the build up. Na Rossa came back to level the game heading into injury time before that man Murphy again landed a 13 meter free from right in front of the post to seal promotion and the start of celebrations long into the night. Well done lads.
