A Donegal student has achieved incredible results in her Junior Certificate after receiving her grades earlier this afternoon.

Colaiste Ailigh student Aisling Ní Fhearáin from Letterkenny achieved the maximum 10 A’s in her Junior Cert.

Aisling was congratulated in the picture (above) by Príomhoide na Scoile, Micheál Ó Giobúin on achieving the maximum 10 A’s in her Junior certificate.

Also present in the photograph are Aisling’s proud parents, Dara and Anthony and her brothers Eoin and Oisín.

With more than 60,000 students opening their results today Teachers’ Union of Ireland chief Joanne Irwin congratulated the pupils but urged them to show restraint when celebrating.

She also appealed to pubs not to sell booze to minors.

Ms Irwin told The Irish Daily Mirror, “It is important students celebrate responsibly.

“We urge those in the off-licence trade and vintners to be vigilant and not to sell alcohol to minors.”

Well done to Aisling on her fantastic results, and Donegal Daily would like to extend congratulations to everybody who received their results this afternoon – and for everybody to enjoy themselves tonight but be responsible and be safe.
