A hugely popular Donegal pub has been selected as one of twenty bars you must visit in Ireland!

The Singing Pub, located in stunning seaside village of Downings is described as being one of the best traditional pubs in the entire country.

Popular website ‘Ireland Before You Die’ reviews the best pubs, restaurant, homes, places and beaches to visit – and Donegal has been a recurring theme in all of their reviews.

In their review of the best pubs to visit in Ireland, there are some famous bars shortlisted, but The Singing Pub deservedly makes the cut.

Here’s what the review said, “Undoubtedly one of Ireland’s best traditional pubs. With the exterior thatched room to the interior, this pub gives visitors a unique experience in the beautiful Co. Donegal.

Here’s a typical review from tripadvisor: ““I have been to the Singing pub many times and it never disappoints. The food is great, the staff are friendly and the general atmosphere is brilliant! The last time we visited there was a live band playing which made the whole experience even better  and we will definitely be back!! P.S I would recommend the steak which is served on a lava stone, its beautiful!”

So the next time you’re in beautiful Downings, make sure and drop into The Singing Pub, you won’t regret it, it’s one of Ireland’s best pubs!
