Clean Coasts’ Big Beach Clean is taking place this weekend all over Ireland including Donegal.

Clean Coasts is once again teaming up with the International Ocean Conservancy for the International Coastal Cleanup event.

Last year more than 18 million pounds of trash was collected by nearly 800,000 volunteers in 91 from the world’s oceans.

Last year, 90 clean-ups took place in Ireland during the Big Beach Clean weekend. We are delighted to announce over 130 clean ups are planned for the 2016 Big Beach Clean weekend.

Thank you to all groups working along the coast this weekend, to protect our oceans, seas and marine life www.cleancoasts.org/our-initiatives/big-beach-clean/
