Four members of Deele College staff are set to represent Ireland and Co Donegal ETB at an international in-service training in Murcía, Spain.

The training has been organized through ERASMUS+ European Programme and administered through the Irish National Agency, Léargas.

The theme of the training event is “Developing intercultural competence and learning about best practices to fight against racism, prejudice and discrimination in schools.”

Staff members will visit schools in the Murcia area to witness best practice examples.

These schools are located in disadvantaged areas. Deele College has DEIS status–delivering equality of opportunity to all its students.

Four other nations will also be represented – Belgium, Germany, Romania and Spain.
