GAA news: Glenswilly face MacCumhaills in Championship quarter-final

Glenswilly GAA notes

Seniors face MacCumhaills

All roads lead to O’Donnell Park this Saturday afternoon when the seniors face MacCumhaills in the Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure Senior Championship Quarter. Throw-in for the game is at 4pm. Get out and support the lads.

Minors

The Northern Board Division 2 Minor Football Championship final between Glenswilly and Cloughaneely will take place in Convoy on Friday 23 September at 6.30pm.
Mickey Mulhern from St Eunan’s will referee the game. The club is encouraging all members to come out and get behind the lads who have played so well this season to get to the final. Best of luck lads.

Thirds

Next up for the Thirds is the Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure Senior C Championship
Sean Mac Cumhaill v Glenswilly on the Sunday 2nd October at 12pm. The venue not yet decided.

All-Ireland tickets

Any club member looking to go into the draw for an All-Ireland ticket should email club secretary Aisling McDaid at aislingmcdaid@hotmail.com. The deadline is 5pm on Friday coming and no names will be taken after that.

Lotto

The winner of last week’s club lotto was Stephen McDaid of Glenkeeragh who matched 3 numbers. The winning number were 6,15,19 and 21. Please continue to support the lotto each week as it is a vital source of revenue for the club.

U13s

Glenswilly v Robert Emmets Castlefinn at 6.45pm in Glenswilly Friday 23rd Sept has now been postponed.

Burt v Glenswilly As at 12noon in Burt on Sunday, 25th Sept

Inishowen League Finals U9s and U11s 23rd Sept in Buncrana

Glenswilly are in 2 finals for U9 at 6.45pm against Buncrana
The U11s play at 7.45pm against Malin. Please come support as all money raised at the gates in towards Children’s Cancer.

U13 Girls

Glenswilly v Robert Emmets at home at 5pm on 2nd Oct

U16 Girls

Glenswilly play away to Malin at 12 noon on the 1st Oct

Jiving lessons

Jiving lessons will start int he Club hall from 23rd Sept to 4th November 8pm -10pm and there for also be a dance on the 28th October in the Station House Hotel for all the new jivers. Everyone Welcome.

Bingo

Bingo continues in the hall each and every Wednesday at 9pm. More than €2,000 in prize-money each night so get along early.
