Noisy manhole covers driving locals around the bend!

Noisy manhole covers are driving people in Letterkenny and Ballybofey around the bend!

But the good news is that the company in charge of the faulty covers are addressing the issue.

The covers, which were fitted several years ago by internet firm eNet are releasing huge bangs every time a vehicle goes over them.

Residents in both the Twin Towns and Letterkenny have complained for months about the constant noise.

Now local county councillor Patrick McGowan said the issue is finally being addressed.

“This has been an issue for a long, long time but at least it is being sorted now.

“People have had to suffer from constant banging because of these loose manholes but at least now it is being addressed,” he said.

Engineers have replaced many of the covers in Letterkenny and are now due to move on to the Twin Towns area in the coming weeks.
