Donegal inventor creates new system to harvest rain water

Malin Head inventor Des Glackin has created this power and pump free water filtering system!

Des, who has over thirty years of experience in the construction industry, is the system designer for WIAC, a rainwater harvesting system.

He explains that the water remains fresh as it is always physically moving to make it potable. The water is oxygenated by use, and also the collection method.

One of the many benefits include knowing exactly where your water is coming from and being in control of that (no water charges!) and Des also believes that it will improve your animal’s health if used on a farm as there are no additives.

The water system Des presents us with in this video not only serves the farm, but also the house! As the water in that area was hard, the kitchen appliances were getting destroyed so by the naturally filtered rain water running through the house, their appliances will have a much longer lifetime!
