Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Saturday, September 24th.

 

Charlie MCNAMEE
The death has taken place of Charlie McNamee of Tonfluff, Cloghan, aged 5 years old, at the home of his parents Angela and Patrick.
Deeply regretted by his broken hearted parents, brother Boyd, grandparents Mary and Michael McGinty and Breda and Charlie McNamee, aunts and uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

His funeral Mass will be at 11 o’clock on Sunday in The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Glenfin, with burial afterwards in Cill Mhuire Cemetery. Family flowers only. House private to family and friends and on the morning of the funeral.

 


Ownie KAVANAGH

The death has taken place of Ownie Kavanagh of Leabrannagh, Arranmore Island. Reposing at Mc Glynn’s Funeral Home on Friday, September 23rd, from 3pm until 4.30pm, with removal afterwards for the 5pm ferry to Aranmore to repose at his late residence.

Funeral Mass on Sunday, September 25th, at 11am in St Crone’s Church, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private please from 12 midnight to 10am.

Eilish JOHNSTON

The death has occurred of Eilish Johnston of Copany, Donegal Town peacefully at Sligo University Hospital. Reposing at her late residence today from 4pm to 10pm and tomorrow, Saturday, from 4pm to 10pm.

Funeral Service in Laghey Parish Church on Sunday at 3pm followed by private cremation in the Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. House strictly private on the morning of the funeral. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to SHOUT.

 

Francie HARKIN
The death has occurred of Francie Harkin at Letterkenny University Hospital and late of Harkin’s Bar, Brockagh, Cloghan.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Eugene and Bernard, daughters, Marie and Geraldine, daughter in law, son in law, sister, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

His remains will repose at his home from 12 noon tomorrow, Saturday. His Remains will leave his home at 11.15 on Monday for 12 noon Mass in The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Glenfin, with burial afterwards in Kilteevogoue Cemetery. Family flowers only please and donations, if desired, to Medical 3, Letterkenny University Hospital, c/o any family member.

 

Bridget GRIER
The death has occurred of Bridget Grier, The Glen, Ramelton. Reposing at her home. Requiem Mass in St. Peter’s Church, Milford, on Sunday at 11.00am followed by interment in Tully Cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing brother Andy, sisters Molly, Lizzie, Peg and Sarah, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

 

Paddy GREENE
The death has occurred of Paddy Greene, Magheralosk, Bunbeg. Reposing at his late residence. House private from 11pm to 10am. Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Derrybeg on Sunday afternoon at 1pm with burial afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Donegal Hospice.

 

Stephen STERRITT
The death has taken place of Stephen Sterritt of Ayrfield, Dublin / Letterkenny, Donegal, at his home in Clonrosse Drive, Ard na Greine with his family. Devoted husband of Catherine, loving father to Louise, Neil and Dermot and a doting Grandfather to Erin, Ben and Charlie. Will be sadly missed by his mother, Maisie, brothers Stanley, Leslie and Mark, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends.

Reposing at home Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th. Visitors are invited between 3 – 6 pm. Removal to All Saints Church, Raheny on Monday 26th September for service at 11 am.

Remains will be reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, Donegal, on Monday 26th from 5 – 7 pm with removal to Conval Parish Church at 7 pm to repose overnight. Funeral Service Tuesday 27th September at 2 pm with interment to follow in Gortlee Cemetery

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to ARC Cancer Support Services and St. Francis Hospice, Raheny.
