Donegal Tourism Ltd in association with Donegal County Council will host a e-tourism seminar on Tuesday, 4th October 2016 in An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny commencing at 9.30am.

Attendees will get top tips from expert keynote speakers focused on topics such as social media, e-mail marketing, SEO, the latest tourism trends, website internationalisation and much more.

Mr. Barney McLaughlin, Board Director of Donegal Tourism Ltd said “our seminar comes directly after we have been exhibiting and showcasing the county to international and national conference and event buyers at the Connect 16 Event in Dublin’s RDS.

“Now it’s the turn of the trade here in Donegal to get up to date on the latest social media and internet trends as well as finding out what Donegal Tourism has been doing to promote the county”.

Cathaoirleach Cllr. Terence Slowey will open the seminar and welcome attendees. Darragh Doyle a leading online engagement strategist will discuss topics such as running successful social media campaigns, reaching target audiences and developing an online strategy unique to each business.

Barry Walsh from OSD Digital will be on hand to provide attendees with the latest information on booking trends and techniques to internationalise tourism businesses and reach worldwide markets, which is particularly relevant in light of the recent news of Brexit.

Chairman of Donegal Tourism Ltd and Chief Executive of Donegal County Council, Mr. Seamus Neely will be presenting the latest tourism strategies for County Donegal and future plans.

A Q&A session will allow attendees to put forward questions to the panel of expert speakers and engage in debate on the current topics of interest in tourism.

With places already booking up quickly, this seminar will provide an excellent platform for tourism providers to engage with industry experts and learn how to grow their business and is the perfect forum for those in the tourism sector to come together, to network with their peers and to look at how the tourism sector as a whole could benefit from a collaborative approach to marketing and developing the tourism product that Donegal as a County has to offer both nationally and internationally.

This event is open to tourism providers from across County Donegal and is free of charge and everyone with an interest in tourism in Donegal is most welcome.
