FEATURES: Volunteers wanted to visit older people in the comfort of their home for a chat and a cuppa for one hour a week.

Befriending Service: We are looking for volunteers to visit older people in their own home for a chat and a cuppa.We run this service in the Rosses area Befriending Service provides companionship for isolated older people..The Role of the Befriending Volunteer is to
Provide companionship by visiting one hour a week
Provide small practical supports where necessary and appropriate
Volunteers are not there to support with home help or care assistants tasks
All our volunteers are trained, Garda vetted and supported by experienced mentors If you would like to get further information on the befriending service please ring the Rosses CDP Chapel road Dungloe 074 95 61686/0879615775.

Taking control Workshop, This workshop is about practical ways to face life challenges, maintaining and taking control of your physical and mental wellbeing. This workshop is free of charge and will take place on Wednesday the 5th October in the Rosses CDP Chapel Road Dungloe. Time is 10am to 4pm.

Carnival Group: Are you interested in being part of a carnival group for the Rosses area. Combine music and art with samba drumming and making instruments. Adults and children welcome.Tuesdays at 4.30pm to 5.30pm. This will go ahead depending on numbers. Tel the Rosses CDP to book 074 95 61686/0879615775. €40 per family per term.

Art Classes Oils in the Rosses CDP with Ros Sharkey Tuesday evenings 7 pm – 9pm commence date to be confirmed depending on numbers €40 for 6 weeks. Booking essential for all courses. Tel the Rosses CDP 074 95 61686/0879615775

Are you unemployed, aged 16-25 and don’t know how to move forward, this is the course for you – Exploring Options Level 2. This course is designed to support adults to find their starting point in Adult Education and Employment. If you are interested, please contact us on 0749561686. This course is free of charge.
