GAA news: Glenswilly issue appeal to fans ahead of final clash with Kilcar

Glenswilly GAA notes

All roads lead to MacCumhaill Park…….

Congratulations to the management and players of the senior team on their game against Malin and reaching another final.

The lads dug deep against a determined Malin side at O’Donnell Park on Sunday last to come away 0-9 to 0-7 winners.

The Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure Senior A Championship Final between Glenswilly and Kilcar will take place on Sunday 16th Oct in MacCumhaill Park Ballybofey. There is no throw-in time yet available. Get your flags out and get behind our boys.

This weekend Saturday 8th Oct

Glenswilly Reserves v Termon at 3.30pm and Glenswilly Seniors v Termon at 5.00pm. Both games to be played in Glenswilly. This is the battle for survival in the Division 1 League so get out and support the lads.

Sean MacCumhaills V Glenswilly Thirds on 15th Oct at 12.00 no venue yet decided.

Well done ladies

A huge congratulations to the Ladies team in winning the League title. The players and management have had a huge year and this was the icing on the girls for everyone involved.

The Ladies Board AGM will take place on 23rd Oct at 6pm in the clubhouse.

Minor championship help

On Sunday next, October 9th, the club is hosting the Division Two Minor Championship final between St Nauls and Cloughaneely which has a throw-in time of 1pm. The club would appreciate any help form club members as a large crowd is expected on the day. Please contact chairman Peter McConnell for details.

Jiving

Jiving continues on Friday nights in the clubhouse and all are welcome – those who are light on their feet or who have two left feet!

U16 Season Ticket Benefits
Costs only €20
All National League Games for your County.
1st Round of the Ulster Championship
Option to purchase tickets for the Championship as your county progresses.
Option to purchase All Ireland Final Ticket should your county have qualified & you have at least 60% attendance at games.

Adult Club + Card Benefits for Members
Costs only €200
All Adult Club Games within the control of Donegal GAA (Not eligible for games at U18 Grade & Lower)

Lotto result

The winner of last week’s club lotto was David Ward of Killymasney who matched three numbers. The winning numbers were 4,5,18 and 20. Lotto tickets are available in all local outlets. Please support your club by doing the lotto each week.
