Delight as three Donegal players get All-Star nominations

Three Donegal players have been selected among the 45 nominees for the coveted GPA All-Star awards.

Ryan McHugh, Patrick McBrearty and Paddy McGrath enjoyed superb campaigns for Donegal – and that has been recognized by the selection committee.

McHugh was probably Donegal’s top player all season, and he has continued that sensational run of form with Kilcar – guiding them to their first Donegal SFC final in twenty-three years.

McBrearty gave a vintage display against Cork, on a day when he was simply unplayable – McBrearty kicked eleven points in a sensational display.

Paddy McGrath has been an ever present for Donegal since 2011, and is undoubtedly one of the county’s most consistent performers.

In a season when he snuffed out the threat of Conor McManus and Dean Rock, the popular Ardara man has been nominated.

McGrath missed out on an All-Star when Donegal landed the All-Ireland title in 2012 – so it would be fitting to see him land one this season.

Well done to all three on receiving nominations.
