St Eunan’s College overcame an early scoring spree by St Mary’s of Belfast to win this Ulster Colleges Under 15½ game on a scoreline of 5-10 to 2-4.

This was a great win for the Sentry Hill boys after the Belfast boys got off to a dream start with 1-1 in just 4 minutes.

However, St. Eunan’s led by 1-7 to 1-2 at half time with Seimi Breslin getting the all-important goal.

In the second half St. Mary’s made another whirlwind start with a goal and 2 points after 10 mins and St. Eunan’s now only led by a point 1-8 to 2-4.

However, St. Eunan’s then took control with 4-2 with no reply.

Another goal by Seimi Breslin and goals by Shane Monaghan, Callum Friel and Emmet O’ Boyle saw the Eunan’s boys run out winners by 5-10 to 2-4.

This was a great team performance; Oran Brogan was superb at the back along with Sean
Collum, Jack Gallagher and 1st year debutant Oisin Mc Daid.

Calvin Aidoo also made his 1st championship debut from the start and made several great runs. Callum Friel worked tirelessly all day making several scores for others around him and scoring an important goal.

The next match will be against Our Lady’s Castleblaney on Thursday 13th October in Garvaghey.
