Bruckless/Killaghtee/Dunkineely Notes October 10th

Dunkineely Celtic FC
Latest Underage Results: The U16s played two matches losing the first game 8 – 1 to Copany Rovers, scorer for Dunkineely was Jack Breslin. They then lost the second game 7 – 1 to Drumbar Utd, scorer for Dunkineely was Eoin Gallagher.

The U14s played Donegal Town, losing 7 – 3, scorers for Dunkineely were Ryan Mc Shane [2] and Paul Walsh [1].

The U12s played Eany Celtic losing 5 – 3, scorers for Dunkineely were Aaron O’Shea [2] & Luke Gallagher [1].

Naomh Ultan
The club’s 25 card drive resumes for the winter months on Wednesday 5th October, in Mary Murrin’s at 9:00pm. Everybody is welcome.
Bingo in clubhouse every Friday at 9:00pm

Classes
Crochet classes in Inver community centre commencing on Monday 3rd October 7:30pm – 9:30pm. Patch work classes commencing the 28th September in Inver Community Centre from 7:30pm- 9:30pm.

Certificate in Marine Tourism and Seafood Fundamentals

O’Donnell School of Music
We are fortunate to have some excellent musicians living in our community, and we are also fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from these talented individuals. Music lessons are held in the Dunkineely Community Ltd Office building on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week from 3:30 to 9:00pm. For further information please contact (087) 9644019.

McIntyre’s Bar, Dunkineely has a traditional music session every Wednesday evening at 9:30pm. All musicians and singers welcome.

Dunkineely Community Limited (DCL)
The DCL office is open from 9:00-1:00 Monday to Thursday 9:00-12:30 Friday. Feel free to call into the office for a chat, use the internet (20c per half hour), print or photocopy documents (20c per page) or borrow a book. We also have several rooms to hire for meetings by the hour or session at very reasonable rates.

Bluestack Ramblers’ Walking Calendar
On the 16th October Danny McNamee will lead a 5 hour strenuous walk on Croaghnirwore and Croaghnageer. Meeting at 10.00 am at the Tourist Office, Donegal Town. For more information ring 087 2562706.

On the 30th October the Ciulciagh-Belturbet Walking Group will be leading a 2.5- 3.0 hour moderate walk in the Ciulciagh- Belturbet area. Meeting at 10.00am in the Post Office Car Park, Belturbet. For more information ring 087 2861482 .

On the 6th November Brian Boyle & Kathleen Friel will lead a 4/5hour moderate walk on the Aghlas. Meeting at 10.00am at the GAA Field, Fintown. For more information ring 087 9777554

Eire Sign
We are looking for volunteers to help with restoring the St John’s Point EIRE sign and Identification Number to its original state. A few hours of your time would go a long, long way.
We will be continuing the work on (Wednesday 5th October) from 5:30pm onwards.
Please bring something to kneel on and a small trowel (all the heavy work has been done)

DCL Library
Dunkineely Community Ltd (DCL) has a small library of over 1000 books. We have books ranging from children’s literature to teenage fiction (The Fault in Our Stars), biographies to classics (Jane Austen – Pride and Prejudice), from horror to comedy, Booker-Prize to thrillers, health to hobbies, etc. Borrowing costs 20c per book.
