Pink and pastel shades have proved very popular from season to season and it looks set to continue – well for another while anyway! Patrick asked Elaine, one of our Artistic Directors and Master Colour Experts, for her view on pink shades for the upcoming months.
Elaine says this season has lots of creative options for colour but one colour that isn’t going away is rose gold. Pastel hair shades of course are nothing new but there is something so pretty and feminine about this latest hue. Rose gold is a beautiful mix of red and pink shades that looks almost natural in certain lights and is perfect for those that want to try the pastel look without going over the top or for those that can’t quite commit to full-on fiery red but really want a colour change.
Some of the major A-list stars have showcased this gorgeous colour – Blake Lively, Sienna Miller and Emma Roberts have rocked rose gold – but the most recent beauty to embrace rose gold is Kylie Jenner and, although we love her natural darker locks, she can definitely pull off this look.
Elaine says that rose gold can be worn differently depending on your colouring and can work well on both blondes and brunettes.
