Harps to sweat on Premiership survival after 2-0 defeat to Cork

Goals on either side of the break from Cork City was enough to give the Leesiders full points against Finn Harps.

Kevin O’Connor broke the deadlock just two minutes before half-time as Harps battled to stay on level terms at the break.

Another goal from Stephen Dooley in the 59th minute sealed the points for Cork who looked comfortable against Harps throughout.

The long journey for Harps was made even more tiring after the news that Wexford Youths got the better of Galway Utd in a nine goal thriller at Ferrycarrig.

This one could go down to the wire as Harps battle to stay in the Premier Division with Ollie Horgan’s side still to face Wexford.
