Donegal Women in Business to host AGM next week

BUSINESS: The Donegal Women in Business Network is a voluntary led networking channel for women who wish to enhance and expand their business contacts and grow their businesses and there are currently over 200 members spread throughout the entire county from a wide industry sector.

Formed in 1998, the network has now evolved, 18 years later into a dynamic and growing membership of women with diverse backgrounds, industries and careers who meet to share their knowledge and experience and promote their businesses.

Outgoing President, Grace Ann McGarvey is extending on behalf of the network committee, an invite to  all Women who work in, own or run a Business in Donegal to attend their upcoming Networking event & AGM on October 25th.

Grace Ann herself, has been a member of the Donegal Women in Business for a long number of years, Public Relations Offer for the past 5 years & Network President for the past 2 years. Commenting on the upcoming AGM Grace Ann said;

“The network is an invaluable resource for business women in the county to meet and learn about best practice in running a small business, from experts in various fields and from experts within the network.

It is open to all women with an interest in business. Whether you are the owner of the business or involved in running the business either as a partner, family member or manager, any woman can join! We encourage the promoting and supporting of each others products and services and encourage learning from the experiences of others.”

“The networking events held discussed topics such as, marketing yourself, following up with contacts, building relationships, using social media as a networking tool, accessing finance and time management, to name but a few!”

“ I would like to personally thank the ladies of the network for attending our workshops & events, the great hard working voluntary ladies that we have working in the network. Rachel Wasson, Rosemary Lyons, Shona Chambers, Denise McClintock, Karen Murphy, Fiona O’Reilly, Fiona Higgins, Maureen Walsh & Catherine Lyster and I wish the new committee every success for the future”.
