Termon pushed neighbours Glenswilly all the way in this tense relegation battle at Foxhall.
The Termon men may have clapped the newly crown county champions onto the pitch before the game but they certainly got stuck into them during the game.
Glenswilly were without some regular starters including the influential Michael Murphy and young gun Cormac Callaghan.
The home side were caught cold early on and Termon rushed into a 0-5 to 0-0 lead after 13 minutes.
Glenswilly eventually found their shooting boots with points from Oisin Crawford and a goal from Christopher McMonagle to leave the sides tied at 1-3 to 0-6 at the break.
It was nip and tuck between the sides after the restart but sub Caoimhin Marley was the Glenswilly hero as he fisted home a loose ball after a Gary Copper McFadden free kick fell short into the area.
Copper added another points before Rickey Gallagher snatched one back for Termon.
It was all too little too late for Termon as Glenswilly enjoyed a three point win on a scoreline of 2-7 to 0-10.
Termon have now been relegated alongside Ardara to Division Two while Glenswilly look forward to what they hope will be an extended run in the Ulster Club Championship.
