Picture Special: Clonmany Scouts help Tidy Towns with beach clean up!

Clonmany has a thriving Scouts Group with 107 scouts. Both the Ballyliffin Tidy Towns group and our local Beavers and Cubs joined forces recently, for the local Beach Clean Up.

It wasn’t all work, as the evening drew to a close everyone had great fun trying to find rubbish in the dark with their torches.

Huge chocolate cookies were handed out as a little reward to the young cubs and beavers! Devoured in less than 5 seconds, so no worries about leaving any crumbs behind!

Both groups are making a hugely positive impact on the area through their regular clean-ups and small enhancement projects.

Ann Harkin, the Ballyliffin Tidy Towns Chairwoman says; “We would like to give a massive thank you to everybody who helped. It is great to see the eager beavers and cubs lending a hand and is a testament to the excellent community spirit, we have here in the local Clonmany area.”
