Well-known adventurer and photographer Iain Miller has had a lucky, lucky escape after being involved in a road traffic accident over the weekend.

Miller owns Unique Ascent and has scaled some of Donegal’s most stunning and difficult sea-stacks as well as some of our most spectacular mountains.

He is also a wonderful photographer and has managed to capture some incredible images of our beautiful county.

However, this horror collision didn’t occur on a remote mountain range, or dangerous sea stack off the Donegal coastline.

No, Miller was involved in a horror crash when the van he was driving left the road and struck a wall.

Thankfully Miller and the passenger in his vehicle walked away from the smash without any serious injuries.

Miller uploaded the images (above) and posted the following message on Facebook.

“Perhaps not the best start to an ML assessment. A fire crew, 2 ambulances, 2 Garda cars, a mangled me and a smashed to pieces van.

“If Carlsberg did near misses this would be one of them. #thereisagod
