Gardai investigate suspicious approach to teenage girl

Gardaí are investigating an incident in which a young girl was approached in suspicious circumstances.

The incident happened on Friday night last in Ardara.

A teenage girl was approached by a man in a silver or grey van at about 10.30pm.

The van was later spotted in the town.

Gardai have appealed to people to be on the lookout for a similar van in the area.

Members of the public have been warned not to approach the van.

Instead people are asked to contact their nearest Garda station.
