The rest of the league games will hopefully be played on a Sunday at 12 noon however it may depend on player availability. If it doesn’t suit the managers can arrange a date that suits both teams. Any Adult Player willing to help/manage can they let Paul McGlynn know on 086 8719166. Our senior men lost out to Killybegs on Saturday the 22nd in the senior A championship relegation play-off replay. This result means that Glenfin will be in the Intermediate Championship in 2017.

Killybegs had the better of us right from the off and were more accurate in front of goals. While Glenfin created chances it took to the 25th minute of the first half to register a score. A goal and two points from Killybegs in the last 2 minutes of the first half killed the game off as a contest leaving the half time score Glenfin 01 Killybegs 1.08. While the second was a more even contest on the score board Killybegs never let their lead slip and secured their senior championship status on a score of Glenfin 1.06 Killybegs 2.14. Glenfin team and scorers: Liam O Meara – Martin O Donnell – Gary Herron – Gary Dorrian – Steven McGlynn – Frank McGlynn – Jason Morrow – Stephen Ward – Michael McGlynn 1.02 – Daniel McGlynn – Paddy O Connor 02 – Stephen Carr – Conor McBride 02 – Gerard Ward – Kevin McGlynn. Subs Used: Hugh Foy – Ronan Carlin – Ciaran Foy – Sean McGlynn – Jason Marley.

Our U18 boys had a great victory over Malin in the County Final of the Division 3 championship on Sunday in Convoy. While Glenfin got off to a bad start conceding 2 goals and a point in the first 10 minutes these lads not for the first time this season showed great character and class to come back and when Karl McGlynn scored a goal in extra time of the first half it put Glenfin in at half time two points up on a score of Glenfin 1.06 Malin 2.01. In the second half it was from end to end and when Malin levelled the game on the 13th minute in was anybody’s game. But again Glenfin showed great strength and went 4 points up playing some great football. Malin never gave up but Glenfin were that bit better organised and went on the won on a score of 1.13 to 2.06. Glenfin team and scorers: Luke Reder – Darren Marley – Shane O’Donnell – Jack Marley – Odhran McGlynn – Thomas Walsh – Keelan McMonagle – Stephen Carr 07– Karl McGlynn 1.01 – Kaine McGlynn – Matthew McGinley 02 – Kyle OMeara 01 – Charlie Herron – Adam Marley 02 – John Harkin. Subs Used: Martin Doherty – Eoin McGarrell. Other members of the panel: Raymond Gallagher – Jason Gallagher – Martin Herron – Ryan Gallagher. This was a great achievement and well done to Joe McGlynn – Aiden Marley – Sean Foy – Graham McGinty and all the players on a job well done. The adult men’s teams are running a night at the races on Saturday the 3rd of December in the Reelin Bar. Horses are €10.00 each and can be got from any of the players. Anyone or business interested in sponsoring a race for €100.00 can do so by contacting any of the following Frank McGlynn, Hugh Foy, Gerard Ward, Andrew Walsh or Martin McGlynn.

Club Gear is available in all sizes. To order contact Kate McGlynn on 0877952880, Sean Bonner on 0872608539, Francie F Marley on 0872414714 or Jakie OMeara on 0871222112 .
