Emotional night at Finn Park as supporters bid farewell to club legend Kevin McHugh

Friday night sees Harps host Bohemian FC in their last game of a successful 2016 season at the earlier than usual time of 7.45pm.  Cork’s victory over Wexford on Monday night meant Ollie Horgan’s men have secured their top flight status for 2017.

It will be an emotional night at Finn Park as fans will no doubt want to celebrate not just premier division safety but also the career and immense contribution to the club of club captain Kevin McHugh.  Friday night will be the last time the Killea man features in a Harps squad and although his recent injury means he won’t play, he will be present on the night so fans will have the opportunity to show their appreciation.

On the other hand there will be a sad note as the club marks the untimely passing of Gerry Dunnion.  There will be a one minute round of applause for the Gerry, a loyal and passionate Harps fan and co- founder and constant member of Finn Harps Dublin Supporters Club.
