Rosses AC athletes perform superbly at Dublin City Marathon

Last weekend was a great weekend for many of our adult athletes who have spent the last few months training  intensively for the Dublin Marathon. Now the 4th largest marathon in Europe everybody gave their all and there was some super performances with Ciaran McGonagle leading the way in a magnificent time of 2:36:29 to finish 41st overall out of 19,000+ starters.  Sunday was the target for many of this group who have trained, pushed and supported each other since January this year around the Estate in Gweedore. For many it was alos a first time expereince while others are becoming more seasoned and experienced which resulted in quite a number of personal bests. This weekend Sunday 6th November see action for underage and adults in the Ulster Uneven Age Group Cross Country Championships including Novice Races at the Finn Valley Leisure Centre where action starts at 11:30 with Girls u11 and running throuh until 2pm. Novice women and scheduled to start at 2:30pm and men at 3pm. Want to be part of something? Consider joining and being part of a running/jogging group. Want to set new goals/targets for 2017? Want to improve your lifestyle, wellbeing or fitness? Want to jog 5k in 2017? Want to do your 5k, 10k faster than 2016? This is for you. This is open to anybody and all levels. On Tuesday November 8th at 7pm we will be having a number of new groups starting – come along !!! Nothing to lose!!! No cost!! Friendly atmosphere (most of the time..:)) !!!
