If it’s a genuine Christmas feel you are looking for, then look no further than the Shandon Hotel this festive season.

The hotel’s Magical Winter Wonderland began last night at the Shandon and for overnight residents this package is sold out every weekend between now and Christmas.

Not many other hotels can boast they have 50 Christmas trees as part of their festive decorations.

The Shandon will welcome over 1000 families to stay between now and 23rd December, in a season typically where families don’t travel and in a hotel that historically closed down in the off peak!

Due to local demand, we have decided to open the magical winter wonderland walkthrough on the Sunday the 4th, Sunday 11th and Sunday the 18th December to nonresidents from 10am to 4pm.

Booking is not necessary, however it’s on a first come first service basis so we recommend that you come as early as possible to avoid long queues.

Meet Santa at The Shandon!

Take the journey to Mrs Claus’ Cabin, where you will meet Santa and enjoy a photo & small gift, but before you do, you must make your way through the Shandon’s magical winter wonderland walkthrough, first up explore the Shandon Forest’s reindeers and abundance of trees (indoors) next up meet our 7ft talking polar bear in Narnia before you finish off picking a candy cane from the tree in Gingerbread Alley!

After your Christmas adventure, Santa Claus will be waiting to meet you and talk about what he would like left out for him and Rudolf on Christmas Eve!

Pricing, 1 child €25, 2 Children €40, 3 Children €50 and 4 Children €60. Price includes 1 family photo, the winter walk through, small gift for each child.

Bar food is available from 12.30 until late each day and on Sundays we offer our Special Sunday Roast main course for €13.50, or why not enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies by the turf fire while you wait on your photo to be printed!
