Ireland’s motoring journalists have crowned the Hyundai Tucson as ‘Irish Medium SUV of the Year 2017’, and there will be a chance to avail of some fantastic offers on the car and many more at Divers Hyundai this weekend.

Journalists from print, online and broadcasting recently hosted the Irish Car of the Year Awards, which was attended by Ireland’s leading car brands, importers, distributors and other motoring dignitaries.

The gala event saw the hugely popular Hyundai Tucson taking the prize of Irish Medium SUV of the Year 2017. As Divers Hyundai prepare for the National Open Weekend this Saturday and Sunday 12th and 13th November, they have said that success story of the Tucson has been truly phenomenal since it was launched just a year ago.

As Donegal and Ireland’s best-selling car this year, the Tuscon has moved into a different gear from day one and stands proud at the top of the pyramid in car sales throughout the entire country.

Looking at the top ten brands at the time of going online, the figures for sales nationally this year are as follows.

  1. Hyundai Tucson – 7,414 Units Sold
  2. Volkswagen Golf – 5,001 Units Sold
  3. Ford Focus – 4,828 Units Sold
  4. Skoda Octavia – 4,643 Units Sold
  5. Nissan Qashqai – 4,579 Units Sold
  6. Ford Fiesta – 3,824 Units Sold
  7. Toyota Corolla – 3,718 Units Sold
  8. Toyota Yaris – 3,600 Units Sold
  9. Volkswagen Passat Saloon – 3,191 Units Sold
  10. Kia Sportage – 2,868 Units Sold

The figures speak for themselves, and at Divers Hyundai the Tucson is also proudly sitting at Number 1 spot in the county, with great interest already having been generated for the new ‘171’ registration.

Test drive the Tucson and see for yourself why the country as a whole as made it the Number One seller.
