Man Utd send their top scout on mission to land Seamus Coleman

Man Utd have sent their top scout to check out Donegal soccer star Seamus Coleman with a view to signing the Killybegs man.

The Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho had told his talent spotter Thomas Bormann to go and see the 28 year old when he captains Ireland against Austria in today’s World Cup qualifier in Vienna.

If Bormann likes what he sees then Mourinho will make Coleman a target during the January transfer window.

Coleman has long been linked with a possible move to Old Trafford but this is the most concrete move yet.

Mourinho has been on the look-out for a new right back to replace the raging Antonio Valencia, 31, and Coleman could fit the bill perfectly.

Although he has said he is more than happy at Everton having recently signed a new deal, the lure of possibly finishing his playing days with Man Utd may be too much for Coleman to turn down.
