Celebrating Christmas in style!

A key feature of Donegal’s beauty, we’re always keen to hear about what’s going on at Lough Eske Castle and there’s no shortage of impressive celebrations during December!

Kicking off the festive season is Spa Solis’ very own shopping event on the 4th December, which is sure to get the whole town in the festive spirit. Exclusive skincare products and candles from luxury brands Anne Semonin and Yonka Paris are the main attraction and with every two giftsets bought, there’s a 30 minute treatment voucher included. There’s also mulled wine, mince pies and goodie bags, we reckon this event is going to be a great way to spoil the loved ones and yourself!

Also on the 4th is the annual Christmas lighting ceremony at the Castle, which will once again see the launch of the Castle’s Christmas food drive in aid of St. Vincent dePaul, performances by Tirconaill Youth Choir and a Children’s Disco. The winner of the Castle’s annual story writing competition will also be crowned ‘prince or princess’ of the Castle – The prince or princess will be treated to a Signature Christmas Tea Party with their classmates on the day.

We all know that children are already getting excited for the festivities, so the Castle has come up with the perfect solution to keep them entertained – a Teddy Bears afternoon tea party. Happening on Sunday the 11th, the tea party is set in the ballroom and includes a disco and special visit from Santa himself. Hosted in the ballroom from 2pm, tickets cost €10 per child / €18 per adult.

The Castle’s delicious afternoon teas are renowned in Donegal and with the special Festive Afternoon teas, there is a chance to enjoy these daily from 2pm to 5pm. A true treat and sure to impress relatives visiting over the Christmas period.

Ending the holidays in style in the New Year Celebrations the castle is so well known for, and the a great way to experience the new head chef’s modern twist on Irish cuisine. Cedric Bottarlini has carefully created a four-course menu for diners to enjoy before they head off to the gallery bar to see in the New Year with live music and signature cocktails.
