The students at Loreto Letterkenny did the mannequin challenge; with a twist!

They used the mannequin challenge to cast a light on mental health stigmas, and highlight that depression is the biggest disability impacting people worldwide. The students have been raising vital funds for Donegal Community Counselling Services.

English teacher Ms. McFadden says “We did not let the fact that we are ladies get in the way of getting involved Movember! Where there is a will, there is a way!”

“The star teachers of this project are Mr Seamus Quinn and Mr Chris Callaghan who have been growing beards and raising funds from the beginning of November.”

“Transition Year students and staff took part by posing with mental health promotion signs and fake moustaches in solidarity with Mr Seamus Quinn and Mr Chris Callaghan.”

The filming of the mannequin challenge was followed up by the shaving of the beards, under the watchful eye of Gerry Mc Keever from Gerry’s Barbers – the students even helped do a little bit of shaving!
