A cookery demonstration by famous chef Rachel Allen will be just one of the many highlights at a fantastic Ladies Christmas Night out in Jackson’s Hotel on December 7th with all proceeds going to Donegal Hospice and the Caolan Melaugh Fund.

The evening of festive fun is being hosted by Ballybofey-based firm Patton Frozen Foods and The Igloo and organiser Louise Patton says the exciting line-up for the event means it is already promising to be one the most exciting nights of the Christmas calendar.

“The evening begins at 7pm with a Christmas market that can be browsed with a glass of mulled wine, prosecco and canapés in hand. We have a wide range of festive stalls taking part with everything from baking to botox,” said Louise.

She added that the show itself starts at 8pm with highlight of the night a demonstration from Rachel Allen on how to get things done in the kitchen for Christmas.

But the cookery demonstration is just part of the overall festivities, with fashion also high on the agenda.

“We will have some festive fashion from The Gray Rooms, Pure Boutique, Verve Donegal and for the ladies with blooming bumps this season, Chiq Maternity will be showcasing their beautiful maternity range. So whether you decide to get dressed to the nines or air out your Christmas jumper this event promises to be one of the best this Christmas,” Louise added.

Tickets for the event cost just €25 and local organiser Louise has stressed that proceeds will go to very worthy local charities, Donegal Hospice and the Caolan Melaugh Fund.

“This evening just wouldn’t happen without the help of so many people who have given their time and effort to make it such a big success. We are particularly thankful to Tommy and Bridget Gallen Jacksons Hotel, Paddy McMenamin our compere for the night, DJ Paddy Friel, Siobhan Kelly of The Gray Rooms, Rosie Boyle of Pure Boutique, Mary Meehan from Verve, Gillian Hamilton and Amanda McClintock of Chiq Maternity, Gabrielle McMonagle of Gabrielle’s Diary, Secrets of S Mum mammy blogger Maria Rushe and Liam Porter of Liam Porter Media.”

Louise added that tickets are on sale at The Igloo, Ballybofey, Jackson’s Hotel, The Gray Rooms, Pure Boutique, and at Verve in Donegal Town.

“We’re not quite sure what Rachel’s going to cook up on the night, but the tickets are already selling like hot cakes for what is certain to be a fantastic ladies night out. We really would advise not leaving it too late to get yours,” Louise concluded.
