Appeal launched to find Letterkenny man said to be homeless in Toronto

DONEGAL people in Toronto are reaching out to a Letterkenny man, going by the name Kieran Kelly, who is apparently homeless in the Canadian city.

The man, who is said to be in his late 30s to early 40s with dark hair, has been in Canada for the last couple of years.

Donegal woman Grace Duffy, who is now also based in Toronto, has issued an appeal on social media.

“It’s only a couple of weeks until Christmas and it breaks my heart that someone from my hometown is lying on the streets out here,” the St Johnston woman told Donegal Daily this evening.

“I haven’t met him myself but a few people from different parts of Ireland have met him. They say that he won’t accept money, but just asks for food.

“It’s so sad and I just feel like I have to reach out and help him.

“I know it is a long shot, but you never know with the power of social media.”

If you have any information on the whereabouts or identity of this man, please get in touch with us at info@donegaldaily.com
