JASON QUIGLEY likely spent the long-haul flight from Los Angeles to Dublin talking combat.

Quigley caught up with his old friend Conor McGregor on the Aer Lingus flight to Dublin last night.

Quigley, fresh from his 12th professional win on Saturday night when he demolished Jorgé Melendez at The Forum in Inglewood, California, was returning home for a quick visit to his family in Ballybofey for Christmas.

The Finn Valley middleweight ace is expected to be returned to action by Golden Boy Promotions early in the new year.

UFC star McGregor beat Eddie Alvarez in November for the UFC Lightweight Championship, but the Dubliner will be out of action until after May. His partner, Dee Devlin, is expecting their first child.

Quigley and McGregor first caught up in 2015 when they attended the launch of a charity boxing event in Boston that was organised by Buncrana’s Mark Porter and the two have trained together at Venice Beach in California.
