It’s not Trad or a week but it will be brilliant!

The Regional Cultural Centre Letterkenny has had a great year of concerts in 2016 and starts its 10th birthday year in style with Letterkenny Trad Week from January 20th to 30th 2017.

Trad Week goes from strength to strength each year and the 2017 festival has an expanded programme featuring five great concerts at the RCC and An Grianán Theatre and music workshops in Letterkenny and Derry with artists-in-residence The Rheingans Sisters from England.

In true Donegal style, according to RCC Director Shaun Hannigan “Trad Week is not really trad and it’s not really a week”.

A brilliant series of folk and traditional music concerts includes performances by some of the world’s leading musicians including: Billy Bragg and Martin & Eliza Carthy from England, Julie Fowlis and Kris Drever from Scotland, Na Mooneys, Lynched, No Crows and Coirm from Ireland and Joe Henry and Special Consensus from America.

All concerts start at 8pm and tickets can be booked at An Grianán Theatre on 00353 74 9120777, or online at www.angrianan.com. Letterkenny Trad Week is organized by Donegal County Council Regional Cultural Centre and An Grianán Theatre, in association with Earagail Arts Festival, Donegal Music Education Partnership, Music Network.
